Edmundo “Coach G” Gandara Jr. and his wife, Christina, and I have been blessed with 6 children aging from 5 to 21 years old. He is an El Paso native where he played football and later moved to the Austin area to attend St. Edward’s University and received his MBA with an emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
He started his career in the restaurant business as a GM at a local restaurant and later moved to Child Nutrition at both Round Rock ISD and Lago Vista ISD. In 2014, He got a call to move into coaching at the school level. He began his career in education teaching middle school math and coaching boys athletics. He has taught at Round Rock ISD, Florence ISD, and Leander ISD where he coached football, basketball, track, and soccer and has been a part of 3 district championships. His hobbies include spending time with family, road biking, and golfing.
