Coach Barksdale was born in Dallas, TX and graduated Mesquite High School in 1997. He attended Howard Payne University from 1997-2001 where he was a 4 year letterman in football, a 3 year letterman in track and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Composite Social Studies. Coach Barksdale is starting his 23rd year in education and is starting his 9th year/season at Cedar Park High School. Coach Barksdale is married to his wife Patricia and has two lovely children that are attending the University of North Texas and Tarleton State University. Previous schools that he has had the fortune of working at include Anahuac HS, Elgin HS, Little Elm HS, Florence HS, and Pflugerville Connally HS.
